JJ Watt gets PAID
J.J. Watt, Texans reportedly strike 6-year, $100M deal
Defensive end J.J. Watt has reportedly agreed to a long-term contract extension with the Houston Texans, and the numbers are as eye-popping as Watt's play has been during his young NFL career. Houston Chronicle beat writer John McClain reported that the deal is for six years at $100 million, with $51.876 million guaranteed. Watt, the 2012 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, has 36.5 sacks in three NFL seasons. Around The NFL will have more on this story as it develops. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...gn=Twitter_atn “@Jacobs71: Now the argument becomes where is Justin Houston compared to JJ Watt in terms of pass rushers. Get out the stats and Pro Bowls.” Last edited by WakkaWakka; 09-01-2014 at 11:52 PM.. |

I love Houston, he's probably my favorite Chief atm, but comparing him to Watt is silly.
He does way more then just pass rush.

Justin Houston is one of the best 3-4 OLBs when it comes to run D in the league.

“@Jacobs71: I believe this will help the Justin Houston situation. The floor is Hali's contract. The ceiling can't pass Watt.”

Would I tell Alex to go **** himself if it meant I had the opportunity to sign JJ Watt to my team for 6 years and $99 million?
Instantly. Reminds me of that old joke: A man comes home from work. He bursts into the door and joyfully exclaims, "Honey! Pack your bags! I've just won the lottery!" His wife squeals with glee, "That's wonderful! What should I pack?" The man goes, "I don't care, just pack your bags and get the **** out!" |
