This guy is truly something special.

He gives the Chiefs a C- for their draft because they 'drafted only for needs' (though he has no clue what their board looked like), and then goes on to praise them for drafting 2 ILB's because they will soon NEED a replacement for Derrick Johnson.

I knew this guy sucked but c'mon, let's get Terez Paylor on there ASAP.

It really is a waste to bother trying to judge these drafts. I remember having a huge rager for Jon Baldwin, and thinking Poe was a terrible choice.

The idea that some random jackass can "grade", within minutes of the draft, a team of experts with 100s of years of actual NFL experience between them, who have spent 80 hours a week studying film for months, meeting with players, talking to college coaches, access to privileged information, watching live play, etc. etc. etc. - who are also competing against 31 other just as well prepared teams to find an edge - is one of the most ludicrous things I can think of in all of sports.

Wait a year then grade based on results? Sure. Wait 3 years to be safe? Absolutely. Instant grade? I don't get it. Why would anyone think that means anything?

Whats funny is, at least half of these guys will wash out. For every team.

If a team hits on 3 players, thats a good draft. Hit on 4 players and thats a phenomenal draft.

Yeah we had a very good/lucky run of pro-bowl caliber draft picks: LJ, Allen, Johnson, Hali, Bowe, Albert/Charles/Flowers/Carr, Berry, Poe, Houston. Just imagine if our #5 and #3 overall had panned out?

What we didn't get though was enough rock-solid contributors like Bailey or Pollard. But still compare that to the waste-land of '98-'02. Also the last 2 years look pretty bleak so far.
