Unreal Estate Game: Ohio
Five houses. You'll pick one, and the other four will be dead in Ohio.

My rankings:
Cleveland Heights - It's a gorgeous house with a nice lot. It's not ideally located, but it's got a recreation area where I could run laps and there are some restaurants that are not unreasonably far for a pedestrian. This one ranks high just because of the house itself, to be honest. Akron - That staircase! My kingdom for that staircase! I really want a place with that type of style. The house is huge, albeit not very warm-looking, but did I mention the staircase? Wow. It's reasonably close to some great-looking parks for running, but not very convenient to restaurants. I initially thought this house would be my runaway winner, but dang, that Cleveland Heights house is great, too, and looks less like a La Quinta. Maumee - I really like the house. I don't need to live on a small lake, but it makes for nice views. It's not in a walkable neighborhood at all, though it's at least a short drive to reach restaurants and stuff. I could live here. Columbus - They're fibbing a bit on the space. The house is 10,000 square feet and apparently the rest is a big carriage house. But that's still a huge house. It clearly needs some work, and is that really the only kitchen? The location is okay - I guess I could walk places, but it would really long walks. I really like old houses, but man, that was a sin to put in drop ceilings on the second floor. This one is touch and go with Maumee and I might take Maumee first. Pierce Township - Nice house, and I think the attic (or is that the guest house) is the best part. It's a big lot, which is nice, but it's in a driving neighborhood, which I don't really like. Don't hate the situation, don't love it, either.

I am definitely not Italian enough to buy the Akron house.
That Columbus house is creepy as fuuuuucck. Also, what in the actual hell is going on in the 10th pic of Columbus? And is anybody going to point out how legit scary it is in the 15th pic showing the door cracked a smidge? You know some evil little bastard kid is waiting behind the door to drain your soul from existence. I'll take the Mommy house. |

Wtf is that? That's creepy as hell. Creepier than the house full of taxidermy. I didn't even notice it. I'd take the Maumee house although if I had to live in Ohio I'd rather live closer to Cincy than Toledo or Akron or anywhere North. There's a lot of good shopping in Cincy.
