I don't understand why they keep talking about lucky or unlucky teams.

Bad teams will be trailing. Nothing to do with luck.

Well, one thing is looking at Oakland. 12 wins while only 34 percent leads?

That defense sucked and Carr helped them come back in a lot of games.

Which generally, is an unlucky formula right? I think that's what they're trying to look at

Right, as in.. the teams with more wins and less time leading may fall back to the statistical mean and do worse next year.

Generally, yes. They aren't going to be able to put up 12 wins a season doing what they did last year. Just like KC isn't going to be able to put up 12 wins a season doing what they did last year either.

The KC part is just editorializing.. the numbers show KC did very well, and lead more than 28/27 teams. We had some bad first quarters, but bounced back by quarter 2.

Based on the numbers, KC will very much be able to get 12 wins next year.

I think what Pest may be getting at is the type of wins we had. You can't consistently count on wins such as the Carolina or ATL wins.

We aren't going to lead the league in turnovers every year and win 12 games. It's not sustainable. Go look at our 2nd half scoring. It was ****ing horrible. You can either choose to blame it on Andy or you can choose to blame it on Alex.

Very true.

But on the flip side, it's tough to consistently lose games like the Bucs and the Titans. Atleast in the chiefs sense.

In at least 3 of those games you can make the argument the refs got involved. Broncos players were tweeting about how rigged that Mexico city game was
