Prayer Request My Grandma passed this morning - Page 3

The world lost a good woman this morning. Dena Vernon my Grandma passed away in her sleep. After months of fighting and suffereing she is finally at rest.

It is so odd that we find the urge to post things like this on a random message board but we are like a family here and a common bond.

I know many of you have recently went through the same pain so you understand where I am coming from.

My Grandma was a great influence on my life and she taught me many things. One of those things was to work harder than expected and you will always succeed. I have used those words throughout my life and have found truth in them.

So here's to Grandma, one helluva wiffle ball pitcher, fish cleaner, maker of awesome breakfasts and a great person overall. I will miss you Grandma,

It sure is. I really miss all the stories my materal grandmother used to tell me. Wish I'd written some of it down, too. She's been gone so long at this point, God only knows how much I've forgotten.

Great analogy. How true that is. She had seen so much and been through so many hardships they stories she told of her youth, the depression and dust bowl always were rivoting to to. Life was so much different for that generation. Just imagine how much change she saw in her 95 years. Crazy to think about it really.
