I always say this, but I just wish we would install field turf. In late November, and into December and January, the field is trash. We are trying to build a team with very good to great team speed, and the field just gets slow. And spray painted dirt just looks ridiculous.

Its Bermuda grass turns brown in the winter. They always paint it. When everyone wanted to go back to turf but keep the speed on the field it was selected over the blue and ryegrass mix of old Municipal Stadium.

I was never a fan of how they did the field when Arrowhead opened and through the Astro and Tartan turf years. Municipal was immaculate and George Toma had it beautiful. They wasted him with that fake crap for too many years.

I have literally been at the stadium while they spray painted dirt. Dirt, not brown grass. Yes, sometimes it is brown grass, but that is also ridiculous and stupid.

When several local high schools have a better football fields than the billion dollar hometown NFL team, it's pathetic.

Turf apparently leads to more injuries. The groundscrew has a twitter page and does a good job explaining what they're doing. They do a great job. IMo.
