Kyler Murray not playing this year?

Boy the Cardinals are really wanting Caleb Williams aren't they? I searched and found this bc I heard Sirius radio talking about it. Apparently Kyler doesn't like the new direction and playing for a defensive coach.

Kyler Murray Facing Cloudy Future in the Desert?

According to some close to the situation, the Cardinals are telling people privately that Murray is more than likely not expected to play this year.

It’s been quite the change of direction for Murray after signing his five-year, $230.5 million extension in July 2022 — which at the time was more than what Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles, Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers all earned this offseason.

This seems to be their plan, just to full on tank out, pretty sure their dream scenario is Williams and Harrison Jr at 1/2

Physically, except height, he pretty much is. He's got a big arm and the accuracy to go with it, and he's got crazy wheels.

Problem is, he refuses to put in the work.

Put another way, if Kyler had the work ethic of say, Jalen hurts, Kyler would be among the top-5 QBs in the NFC.

But as it is, he's just a physical freak, with a 10-cent head.

I already solved this problem years ago.

If you made the playoffs the previous season, it's business as usual from picks 18-32.

If you didn't make the playoffs, your draft slot is determined by the team with the worst record over a combined 2 years. Or 3 years. Take your pick.

This adequately prevents the Texans from doing that utter ****ing bullshit they pulled with their 1-year rentals at head coach, and it prevents the Tards from doing this shit. Makes it far more difficult to make a "Suck for _______" plan when you have to start it two years in advance.

Teams who legit struggle because they aren't good get better chances at franchise-changing players instead of allowing the Colts to "accidentally" fall into the #1 overall pick for Luck.

You only like this idea because we are good now, if we were a bad team you'd hate this.

Also opens up the process to much more liability of tampering too. If you go by the records there's no loopholes for any crazy conspiracies like the frozen ballot.

What is the earliest they could possibly cut Kyler Murray? Assuming they care nothing about results for the next two years after they do it and in fact want to full-on tank. Is it possible now? Because if so I'd do it.

Looks like the Raiders ERRRR a team could trade for him about this time next year and Cards would have a NET cap savings of $3M.

You think Murray would flourish in McDaniel's system?

Some team will give up draft capital for this guy. Maybe, getting benched/traded will help this guy focus more.

Do his stats really go down once some yearly video game is released November ish?

All it does is encourage more tanking by more teams. It’s unlikely a team like the Commanders are going to finish bottom 3-5. But they also are unlikely to be a playoff contender. But a lottery would absolutely encourage them to tank.

I can't imagine any team being willing to take on that cap, or pay anything near that absurd contract. I don't think a trade is a realistic option. (Well, except maybe the Browns but now even they have zero shot.)

Bengals should have hired the Cincy DC. Way more qualified than the Philly DC.
