I have always been curious what makes people so excited to go to this specific event. I like to attend a game every now and then but the Super Bowl to me has become so over the top nutty and overpriced by a factor of thousand's. The premium seems to far exceed the return factor.
Is it to say that you went to see your team in person?
Is it the whole atmosphere of hanging out in that environment?
Is it to see celebrities and be with a unique crowd once a year?
I don't think any other single premier event goes hyper-cost increase than the Super Bowl.
Not the Daytona or Indy 500, US Open for golf or tennis, Rolling Stones or Bruce Springsteen tickets.
This seems like a $10,000 a person or greater event for a very short period of time, almost lile paying for a small wedding.
For any of you who recently attended, is it really worth all the extra money? Why is it so great to attend in person?
I went to the 100th US Open at Pebble Beach and it did not come across as so much better than other PGA golf events I have attended.
No criticism, just really curious.
