Tornado of Souls is THE song that puts Megadeth over Metallica for me. I was really into those Shrapnel records bands back in the day. I have all of Friedman's solo stuff as well as his Cacophony stuff with Jason Becker. When he joined Megadeth, that was it for me. Metal heaven.

Again, it doesn't make sense. But, it's just fun - and the breakdown is chef's kiss.

My 18 yr old son got into Megadeth last summer, and taught himself to play Tornado of Souls amongst others. When he was home over Christmas, nearly all his free time was playing guitar with Tornado of Souls a frequent feature.

What do you guys think of this band - Hessian Lord - based out of my tiny Illinois town?

Not gonna lie I see a lot of potential and I'm not just saying that because they're homies... used to work with the bassist for three years, a cool dude

Love the vocals. Instrumentally they are pretty basic, but for stoner/doom, that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Yeah, I like this a lot. Simple is better. Need a good groove and a riff. They have that. I like it.

So back on this topic, I wanted to show you why I was so excited when Friedman joined Megadeth and why, to me, Rust in Piece will always be the pinnacle for me. This is Marty's solo album, released right before he joined.
