Hint: We have freaking ZERO running backs under contract for 2026! Zero. Also, the teams you mentioned, Packers, Bengals, Texans, Niners how did their seasons go last year? Did the Packers have a dang good receiver bitching and moaning and disturbing the locker room because he wasnt getting the ball because they had too many receivers? WTF did Burton do for Bengals even WITH Higgins hurt much of the year? 4 freaking catches all year and didnt travel with the team late in year due to coach decision? That pick would have been better spent on defense! By all means though keep using valuable draft picks on receivers who cant get on the field. Is it entirely possible Burden's ego is a little hurt if he is stuck behind Rice/Worthy/Hollywood? Last edited by ForeverIowan; 04-22-2025 at 05:45 PM.. |

There will be good backs all the way through round 5 this draft. I think a Damien Martinez right abour #133 looks mighty fine. Mighty fine indeed. |

By all means I do not want a RB w/ 1st pick. A RB can be picked up in later rounds was my point.

I'd have probably liked him sooner if his last name was Taylor or something. Travis just turned into a bum so damn fast.

I’m hoping for the best DL available - with a bias towards DT - as the guys who can have an impact with the pass rush are mostly R1 guys. I’m not sure Burden wouldn’t even be a R1 guy last year. Probably would land at WR8-10. |

I mean, I don’t know why you would be sure of that. Ricky Pearsall and Xavier Legette were first round picks. If you think both those teams wouldn’t have jumped to get him instead of them, you’re off. Way, way off. Burden was the most productive player in the league those dudes played in, and also the best pro prospect. You could make a case for him being preferred to Ofunze and Worthy, too. He entered his junior season viewed as a top 10 player and right there with McMillan for WR1 for a reason.

I think I'd probably end up putting Burden in/around 7 last season.
Purely as prospects, you have Harrison, Nabers, Odunze and Thomas ahead of him. And honestly, they'd be ahead of everyone in this class, IMO. So now you're looking at Mitchell, McConkey, Worthy, Pearsall and Coleman? Probably have Mitchell in that group? I'd have had Franklin up there and just been obviously wrong. I'd put Burden....man, maybe ahead of all of 'em. Just trying to look at it through the lens of last season, before any of the actual performance on the field last year, I think I'd have had: Harrison Nabers Odunze Thomas Mitchell Burden Franklin Worthy McConkey Wilson Pearsall Coleman I don't think there's any argument at all to say he wouldn't have been top 10 in that group. He honestly had a pretty good argument for top 5 right behind Thomas and ahead of Mitchell.

The only thing I'm 100% sure of, is that Dante84 is furiously preparing highlight vids and scouting reports on just about every prospect of note
Dude has been a draft wizard for probably ten years running, can't wait to see it all play out |

"If TreVeyon Henderson is sitting there, as much as there are a ton of great backs in this draft, there is not a more perfect match for Andy Reid and what he likes to do with that position. He would probably see as many or more targets in the passing game as a slot WR would. That kid would turn Reid back into the kid in the candy store that made this offense great. In Brian Westbrook's heyday, he had 73-703-6, 61-616-4, 77-699-4, 90-771-5, and 54-402-5. A couple of those seasons he also rushed for over 1200 yards. Henderson can have that type of passing game impact." |
