Internet Debate: 100 Men vs. 1 Gorilla

This has been going viral the past couple days.

Who would win in a fight: 100 unarmed men or 1 gorilla?

I personally think the sheer number of humans would overpower the gorilla and people are both 1. Underestimating how many people 100 is, and 2. Overestimating the strength and stamina of a gorilla.

Verdict: 100 men win fairly comfortably with the caveat that there will be some casualties.

What say you? 100 men or 1 gorilla?

100 is light work.

Bonnie Blue took on 1,000 men.

How about 100 LGBTQ vs 1 gorilla.

Do they have a shot?

There's an edge to both sides if you want to skew it.

Enough volume is going to overwhelm the gorilla, no matter how strong. I'd think enough humans pinning it down, you could get to vital areas and claw your way to bleeding it out.

Largest silverback on record was 860 lbs. St. Louis Zoo, named Phil, lol.

I picture the gorilla coming out to fight pushing through the thick underbrush to his theme song "Welcome to the Jungle".

I think we're underestimating the adverse psychological effects of the casualties on what's left of the hundred. Seeing somebody get their skull bashed in and face eaten off wouldn't instill much courage.

The gorilla would wear down really fast. He'd do a ton of damage, but they're almost entirely made from fast twitch muscles. They can pack a lot of power into a quick attack, but he's gonna wear down by the time it'd take him to kill 10-20 people.

The men would have to be really disciplined and they'd need the right strategy. The psychological toll would be huge too, but 100 men are going to wear it down pretty quick.

In that scenario you’re going to die either way.
Curling into a ball has never been my go-to option.

100 dudes could probably just dog pile a gorilla and choke it out.

10 on 1 is probably a more interesting scenario

It's not surprising to learn you wouldn't curl into a ball facing 100 men at once.

If you're going to tee it up that high, it has to be swung at, lol
