*****Official 2025 Royals Season Repository Thread*****

Coming off an American League Divisional Series appearance, its year 3 of Matt Quatraro tenure. Can they take the next step to a division title? Can Bobby Witt, Jr. take his superstar status to another level? Can Cole Ragans develop more? Will the other starting pitching duplicate last season? The offense can it deliver more? Who will be in the outfield? How about the new stadium development?

Yes, but Bubic and Lynch were both drafted in the 1st round of 2018, and are doing pretty good this year...finally. It appears they both have gotten rid of the jitters that plagued them so much earlier. But again, that was mostly due to the MLB club, I guess.

Good timing as this was on MLB Network today. This coaching staff did change a lot of things with Bubic. It was always said Cal Eldred wouldn't let him throw a slider to focus on developing his other pitches. He's added a sweeper too.

Exactly, thank you for making it more clear. I think this next wave of Beam, Zobac, Shields... have a shot, hope to see them take the reigns.

This gem just showed up in a vintage t-shirt shop in Texarkana, TX. Should I go grab it tomorrow?

Eldred and Metheny. A match made in absolute hell for any pitcher on the team. Those two ruined too many of our best relief pitchers arms. They were absolute shit with the starting pitching staff and ignoring even the most basic analytics. ****ing chodes

Caglianone went yard again tonight. 3 run dinger for his 9th home run of the season and 35th RBI in the 5-3 loss to Wichita.

Henry Williams also pitched pretty well for NWA. He just might be something... Nice little pickup in the trade for Barlow a couple years ago...

They're saying it's shoulder fatigue, so sounds like it's not an actual injury.

September

Everyone will tell you June or something.

This org really has never rushed prospects too much.

If he could play OF things may be different due to necessity.

Here’s something that occurred to me….

I’d never wish injury upon someone, but Vinnie has been a little unlucky in the health department. I do wonder, if Vinnie happened to go down with injury again, would they call up Jac? Probably depends on when in the season and/or how severe the injury, but it does make me wonder a little bit. But let’s just keep winning, let Jac keep hitting and developing and it’ll all play out how it plays out.

Vinnie has really fallen off the cliff this season. I was expecting a break out year, but instead he's completely regressed and is striking out a ton more and walking quite a bit less.

His swing speed is up and he's barreling the ball a little more when he hits it but he's chasing much more than in years past. Its weird because each year he starts chasing more and more pitches.

Each year now his K rate in the MLB has risen while his walk rate has diminished. I'm not sure what he's trying to do.

https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savan...-r-hitting-mlb

A puzzling deal.
