Looks like the "wine and cheeseing" of the "New" Arrowhead patrons continues.

CHIEFS FAN CODE OF CONDUCT
The Kansas City Chiefs are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for our fans. When attending a game, the stadium staff will proactively intervene to support an environment where event patrons, their guests and other fans can enjoy the event, free from the following behaviors:

• Foul, obscene, offensive or abusive language or actions
• Standing and/or obstructing the view of other fans
• Intoxication or other signs of impairment
• Smoking except in designated areas
• Fighting and unruly or inconsiderate behavior
• Obscene or indecent clothing or signs
• Conduct that endangers spectators or participants
• Harassment of visiting team fans
• Interfering with the progress of the game, going onto the field or
throwing any object onto the field
• Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel
• Selling items or tickets in the stadium or on sports complex grounds
• Attempting to sit in a location other than the guest’s ticketed seat
• Destroying property

Event patrons are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests and/or persons occupying their seats. Please respect the rights of others. Event patrons and guests who choose not to adhere to these provisions will be subject to ejection without refund.

If they don't want people to get intoxicated at the game, perhaps they should consider selling something other than beer on the upper level when it's 90* out. Anyone that doesn't want to hike down to the concessions risks either getting drunk or having a heatstroke.

This has been a rule for a long time. Its just to cover their ass for legal purposes, nothing new dont know why we have a 7 page thread on it. Also like I have said before the ticket base is getting older, you baby boomers who were the crazy bastards in the 90's arent exactly young anymore.

Man, what a trip reading all the responses and bickering about this supposed new rule. Nothing has changed. This one has been on the books a long time. How do I know. ? Many of you planeteers know me. Refer to the link named "So this officer took my flask" in the Hall of Classics. Just seeing the back and forth here gives you insight as to what is put up with at the games. Assume your a season ticket holder and someone i front of you is blocking your view and throwing the F Bomb around. And they happen to be a season ticket holder as well. You both payed the same. Who is more right? As for the drinking, please do. But be smart enough to stay under the drank enough to be a jerk level. Never did like dealing with the passed out or vomiting ones. Boils down to common sense and a little courtosy. If tempers are rising over blocked views the rest assured it will be dealt with.

In a “Chiefs Fan Code of Conduct,” folks attending home games are told that Arrowhead Stadium staff will “proactively intervene” to prevent behaviors such as standing.

And a new way to report problems:

Text messaging will be introduced to our fans in 2008 as an additional line of communication on day of game. Text messaging will allow you to communicate more clearly and confidentially. Fans can text 816.679.7555 before, during and after the game from any cell phone to report any issues or problems.

I went to the Arizona game last year and was appauled at the Cardinals fans who sat as if at the theatre. Granted they are fans of the losing spors franchise ever, but I made the comment to some of them (while standing), "You can;t support your team from your ASS!" And in a new stadium no-less.
