Chiefs aren't done shopping for players; unfortunately for us, the shopping is taking place at Aldi, and Montgomery Ward.

Right. That's where we got the best RT in free agency.

Yep. I've been critical of the Chiefs spending in the past. And that argument still holds water for those past years.

But it's hard at this point to say anything about it. They've made some very nice moves this offseason. Everybody has to put any "cheap" comments in their back pocket for now.

i was saying from the standpoint of 'continuing' to shop for players going forward.

I agree with the Winston signing. I think that is our premiere pick up for this FA period. Which is fine. I'm just not expecting anything worthwhile going forward, that's all.

Generally the big names or the best players go pretty early in FA. There could be someone released in the next couple of months that is worth picking up. But otherwise, I think we've done pretty f'n awesome in FA.

tolbert is still out there. I would still like to see us pick him up.

I agree. I just think the article doesn't really say anything of significance. The article makes it sound like the Chiefs are still going out there and picking up starters. I think all of us here know that any additional FA's will most likely be for depth (which is fine). The article caters to the uninformed fan IMO.

I think I'm one of the few out there who would pass on Tolbert.

Would Mike be a nice addition this year? Sure.

But I think the Chiefs would be better served drafting a back in the mid rounds in the Jamaal Charles/all round RB mold. Basically looking for Jamaal's eventual replacement. We have the power back in Hillis.

Furthermore, RB is a young mans game that's easy to fill in the draft. I liked the Hillis signing but I wouldn't want them to go crazy in spending $$ on older RBs. Save that for the draft.
