Will the Chiefs still draft a QB?

With Cassel/Stanzi/Quinn now on board, do you think they we still draft a QB?

I say no...

I think Quinn was brought in because of his familiarity with Daboll's offense. -Won't be cut-

Both Cassel is Pioli golden-boy and Stanzi was drafted under Pioli. -Niether will be cut-

We aren't going to go into the season with 4 QBs on the roster.

That's a guess.

If Stanzi were to be pushed to the practice squad, I would think someone would take a flyer on him.

Not saying I think he's anything special. Just saying be prepared to lose him if they try that.

That's why I don't think we take a QB this year. They can give Stanzi an actual offseason to let him learn and see if he has "it". They can give Quinn a chance to prove himself in a new situation and they can give Cassel a year a fall on his ass.

They're not going to cut Stanzi for Tannehill.

Primarily because they're not going to draft Tannehill.

So in other words, the FO can give itself another year to do next to nothing?

Shitty starter? Check. Long-shot FA acquisition? Check. Lottery ticket in late rounds? Check.

All of that adds up to a big bag of shit unless we're the luckiest sonsofbitches in the world.

Do you seriously believe Foles is a move that will pay dividends for the future?

Like I said, if there's a franchise QB in this draft available to us, we should take him. I view Tannehill as a suspect guy... he could be ****ing phenomenal, or he could be the worst thing since Tyler Palko. Nobody really knows.

Besides him, I don't see any guy in this draft who has a better shot to pay future dividends than Stanzi. Hell, I'll take Brady Quinn's chances at becoming a franchise QB over most of these clowns.

Again, if you believe in Foles, that's fine, but you're going to have to explain it to me. I don't see it at all. All I see is an oversized version of Cassel if he ever had a chance to start in college. Tell me what Nick Foles specifically possesses in his skill set that would bode well for the Chiefs' immediate future at QB?

Oh, and of course I'm not talking about RGIII or Luck when I'm saying these things

Foles threw his team on his back all year. The team lost a lot of games because their defense was horrid, but he had some really nice games that get overlooked because of the "L".

Admittedly, as I have mentioned before, I'm going off his games from year before last
more so than last year as I was far busier this year with life outside football.

I saw a guy that had a live arm, responded well when the opposing team scored and showed the ability to distribute the ball well. He was calm and collected, but also showed the ability to be demanding.

It's tough to judge how the guy would do with a good defense and significantly more talent to work with on offense, but I am absolutely second guessing my thoughts on the kid.

I hate doing that, but he hasn't really given me much to go off that would lead me to think his stock is as high as it once was.

I've heard several analysts speak highly of Cousins recently, and I've seen at least one mock with us taking him.

I don't believe that for a second.

First, it's unclear whether he's worth a shit at all. And I mean it's questionable if he can play at even a Cassel level of suck. Second, if things are "about even" in camp, the nod is going to Cassel every single ****ing time.

Quinn will have to be a damn miracle worker to force Pioli's (yes, Pioli's--RAC isn't deciding shit) hand.

Am sure we will draft a QB in later round. Stanzi & Brady need to step it up and take out Cassel.

I'm going to go with Quinn because Pestilience says he's never been given a shot, and that timeline kind of rang true to that.

But if he just sucks, I'm putting it on Pestilience and he can no longer give opinions that are to be taken seriously after that.

I think Stanzi is going out perform Quinn and Cassel, but I think they will go with Quinn before they try Stanzi once Cassel get's benched or knocked the **** out of a game.
