Having a good FB helps your run game.
Obviously it did in New York.

It's not going to make the difference in whether or not this team is playing football in late January, but...it certainly would help solidify our ground game.

I think Chiefs fans just don't like to lose a talented player at any position, especially given how little he signed for in the overall scheme of things.

I don't think anyone would want a pro bowl FB over a pro bowl player at any other position. That said, when you have one, why not keep him? Especially when he was, by all accounts, a good leader in the locker room?

Yup, wasting draft picks to try and find someone remotely competent at the position has worked better than paying a little extra for a proven FB. Sure it is a diminished position, but when you need one you need one that can do it right.
