If you don't like it, you go find the deep ball stats and prove me wrong. They should be easy to find. Note that if I was wrong, you could bet the farm that some mother ****er around here already would have posted them. They hate me and will take any shot they can. |

The stats Clayton posted reflect number of passes attempted over 20 yards.

I think this is as good a place as any to address a couple of things...
I like your takes. You are one of my favorites here. I know we have similar interests outside of football because we have talked about them briefly. I told you that I was not lying about mayock's words. I don't know you personally and have no real way to convince you otherwise. I can only go by my word and I understand I haven't built up much credibility yet. What I can tell you is that I think I have proven myself to be more honest than anyone who has ever posted on this site. Brutally honest about very personal things. I won't go back there. Since you felt I was lying, you constantly follow me around and shit on threads. Calling me a liar and questioning my football IQ. I don't think I have the highest football IQ here. I have a lot to learn and am learning something new everyday. I hope people can learn from me too. I often go out of my to explain my takes. I think you have a good football IQ but, for you to follow me around and tell me I don't watch football is horseshit. The Eagles were extremely well known for throwing the ball out of the backfield. Do you realize we took McCluster with our first 2nd round pick out of two to keep Reid from taking him? You should know that if you have watched them over a long period of time. You should no they could never get over the hump until they got speed on the offensive side of th ball. You say I'm an idiot for saying very common sense things like if we franchise Albert we are more likely to draft an OT #1 overall. What is so hard to understand about that? LTs are the hardest thing to find after QBs and you don't pick first every year. You think they are going to put Albert in a position where he has the upper hand in a looming contract negociation after he is tagged? The point here is that there are several who follow me around responding to every post with SHIT. I am not the thread shitter, they are. You can fom your groups to come after me and you can waste months tryinbg to push me out but, it won't work. Probably, there has never been a poster so driven to be here. I will not leave by my own choice. I am committed to following the rules this time and am done trolling. When I troll now I have made a point to say "j/k." Just my ten cents... Again, he went back to like 2007 which is five out of 14 years in Philly. He had speed during that time. My point is that Reid uses the tools he has and doesn't force his offense. I can't say it any other way. It's time to move on...

You just said that he simply posted yard per attempt, but now your argument is that he only went back to 2007. The fact still remains, that you are the one that posted yards per attempt to support your argument, and I have told you that, in no way supports your argument. Explain to me how I am wrong.

YPA do not, in any way, shape, or form, give you any indication of the number of deep pass attempts by the QB. It is not that ****ing difficult to understand. If a QB attempts 20 passes in a game, and completes 10 of those passes for 10 yards each, and the other 10 attempts are 20 yards or more, and incomplete, the YPA is going to be 5.0.

No one gives a **** about ypa in this instance. It's attempts over 20 yards that would support the argument either way. You are wrong though so you, like most dumbasses, try to talk in circles and think other will get as confused as you do. Note: Items in bold signify seasons Philly was ranked in the top five in 20+ yard passes.
Quote:
2005 - (Ranked 5th) Terrell Owens led receivers with 16.2 YPR (Yards per Reception) 2006 - (Ranked 3rd) Donte Stallworth led receivers with 19.1 YPR 2009 - (Ranked 2nd) Desean Jackson led receivers with 18.5 YPR 2010 - (Ranked 4th) Desean Jackson led receivers with 22.5 YPR Note that three of the four years were the highest YPA during Reid's tenor. I bolded those years above. The YPA and 20+ yards correlate 75% of the time. The time it didn't correlate was with the slowest talent of the three (Owens). Again, It goes back to the talent he had and speed on the field. It's about Reid catering to the player's strengths. When he had quality speed guys, he threw it deep the most. He's only cracked the top 5 in 20+ yard passes four times in his career. Last edited by Rambozo; 01-27-2013 at 01:33 PM.. |

You are posting the numbers for completed deep passes. The fact that he had better deep threats to throw to will certainly improve the number of passes completed, and will enhance the YPA. It still, however, does not reflect the number of deep passes attempted.
