Because you've already noted that you don't know much about MMA. So I've seen a thousand fights where it was stopped because of those very situations. A guy gets knocked down, and turtles up while the other guy lands punches. They don't have to be big bombs when a guy is turtled up like that. So Carwin punched himself out. If that's what makes Brock great, fine. He turtled up and let a guy punch himself out of gas. Right now Brock's face is swollen shut and Carwin looks like he's about to go out for dinner. People that don't have Lenar's nuts in their mouth knows that should have been stopped in the first.

You don't know enough about fighting to know that in 100 other fights it's stopped 99 times when that situation occurs. That's why you need to shut the **** up because you don't know what you're talking about here.

I'll put it like this, if that fight was called in the first no one would have said it was a bad stoppage. Brock's face was smashed in. He got the take down and sub because Carwin punched himself out. Not because Brock did anything special. Notice the difference.

Not for a title bout man. You let them fight till the last bell rings unless someone is near death.

If this were ANY fight other than a title bout, you are right, the fight gets stopped. For a title fight... you can't stop that. Not unless Lesnar was in serious danger.

You argue that Lesnar did not intelligently defend himself. If that was the case, how did he manage to kick Carwin off him not once but twice during that bashing? Lesnar on more than one occasion grabbed at Carwin's head to bring him down, he kept his hips moving, and did enough to convince the ref that he was in control.

You are either trolling hard or you have a serious case of sour grapes.

When a guy covers up and doesn't defend himself outside of covering his face and gets earholed 7 times, that's the ****ing definition of not intelligently defending yourself. Again, if the fight had been stopped everyone would have said it was a fair stoppage. The only people who don't think so are either Lesnar nut huggers or guys who don't know shit about MMA fighting.
