OK I've been thinking about some cool stuff to add to the front page...once the BBS is completely done (hopefully within a week)
1)Adding a picture link section for Chiefs and BBS members photos 2)Adding a competition section - We would allow fans from the rival BBS that the Chiefs are playing that week to log in to a game section (trivia, shockwave football, etc..) and compete against us for bragging rights during the week leading up to the game. So each week it would be a different set of fans. What do you guys think? BTW These are just ideas right now and possibly a looong way from completion, but if everyone likes the idea and all goes well I could get a simple version up before the season starts. |

Hey Austin,
I have been kicking around an idea of my own. I had a blast picking the games each week of the season last year. I think the contest was started by Wax (I'm still waiting for my reward for winning). Anyway, the people that compiled everyones picks did a lot of manual (paper and pen) work. Since I'm a software engineer I immediately thought about putting together something for this. I think it would be great if there was a link on the front page for someone to make their picks through some Web application. Otherwise we could just post the picks again and compile them that way.<P> |

Would it be possible to add a spell checker for those of us who are grammatically challenged?

Phil,
You mean Sheldon Ingram (Pittsburgh reporter). I haven't seen him here, and I don't think he was on the old BB for a while since TC in River Falls either. I didn't notice him anyway, maybe someone else did. He might have gotten run off because he took so much grief for his [b]good[/b] reports. |

Why don't we just link to an existing Pick 'em site like ESPN. It's free and would mean no work for any of us. We could start a private group.... If there's enough interest, we may even need to start a couple. I think the limit is 50 people on ESPN Pick 'em.... |
