Royals Interested in BJ Upton
On my phone, so I can't post a link, but Rotoworld is reporting that the Royals are interested in BJ Upton. If true, I love this. Upton is the perfect type of player the Royals should be interested in.

What would you give up for him in terms of prospects?

He's a good player, but he's not nearly as good as his name. I wouldn't give up more than a couple of B- prospects for him.

This is a weird rumor... not sure what the Royals would be aiming for with Upton.

Would that mean Cain was on the trade block? Just a weird rumor.

Upton is pretty damn good in center, though (covers a ton of ground) and has tantalizing potential.

I'm not holding my breath for the Royals to sign anybody. With the players on the roster and the money they are going to have to dish out, it almost appears they'd be better off just abandoning trying to sign any major free agents, and just invest the money they have in keeping their own. It appears eventually our rotation will get to Hochevar, Duffy, Montgomery and Crow and then there's only one spot left assuming all those guys pan out. I guess what I'm saying is why should they waste money signing guys instead of banking their money to try and keep the talent we seem to have.

From what I read a few weeks ago (again I wish I could remember where) Myers "seems disinterested in playing the outfield." So maybe they don't have the hopes for him they once did. Purely speculating of course but I did see that.

Melky is built like he actually knows his way around the weight room. It amazes me how little muscle the royals have. Moustakas fatass, billy fatass, Hosmer (shawn green and Dane Cooks lovechild) Frankour. Stupid and skinny.
