Would you trade the no. 1 pick for Cam Newton?

We ran into this topic late Saturday night in another thread.

I personally don't like Cam at all. He's got a ton of talent, but is an absolute idiot. He can't even learn a full playbook. Newton has put up some big numbers, but they haven't translated into a lot of wins.

He is 13-19 as a starter over 2 years.

58.9% comp | 7,920 yards pass | 40 passing TDs | 29 INTS | 1,447 rush yards | 22 rushing TDs |

Would you give up our no. 1 pick for Cam Newton?

Cam is a gifted player no doubt but a rocket scientist he is not. As I mentioned in the gruden qb post John asked him what play did you run out there. His answer I don't know then he sees the color held up by o coordinator. Oh that's blue, gruden laughs and says you don't know the plays. He said we make it simple and hold up colors. Lol

You think this guy can learn the complicated reads of the Andy Reid west coast offense?

Not the fans here. I realize most chief fans don't value or have patience for developing qbs.

It should be obvious at this point that Cam is a head case and doesn't have upstairs what is needed to be a really elite level guy. He's never going to be elite. I don't care about his stats, he's not a winner. He's not a Brees or Rodgers or Eli. He's not. Some of you have lost your ****ing twat minds.

Playing QB isn't just about physical talent, it's also about all of those intangibles that Cam does not have.

I just don't get it. I understand best available but when you most glaring need is qb why do u pass on it.

We sign bowe and Albert and most of our own free agents

We need to draft the qb

If Dorsey wants to see if he can get a good trade with multiple picks he wouldn't tip his hat just yet.

We need to calm down there is still the interviews, combine, public pro day, and private workouts to go.

I'd take our own QB, Geno or whomever, 9 times out of 10 but it appears the front office is already preparing this fan base with the distinct possibility that it's not going to happen. At least this year.
