That's a really good analogy. Although I felt they should've bunted over Hos in the 9th. I know it takes the bat out of Cains hand but one hit wins it and you take away the gidp. I suppose having Moose and Frenchy coming up made the decision tougher.

Here's my biggest beef.


By taking Shields out he could be thinking he would have won this game. He is a very emotional leader, but maybe making him start to think you as manager don't have his back some of that starts to fade.

Not saying it will but it is a bad situation IMO.

It should have been 1-zip...as far as I saw....if Hos and Moose keep letting us down, we don't stand a chance...they're going to pick it up..but how long does it take to adjust to Major League pitching??

Sweet turds, people. Do you expect a 0.00 ERA from every single reliever? Holland has been one of the most dominant closers in the game ever since he took over last year. Herrera, outside of a handful of games this year, has been one of the best relievers in baseball. Crow and Collins have been solid for a couple of years.

This is baseball. Sometimes the other team scores a run or two. You just have to live with that.

I wondered if they'd have Collins ready to face Big Donkey in the 9th. Instead we let Holland pitch out of it and he gave up a hit to him. After the first two batters I bet the odds of us winning were a lot higher if we put Collins in to get that out. If he did te inning is different. Seems like Yost was hell bent on going with Holland no matter what

moose has been looking a little bit better lately but they both need to get it together.

Both are good guys,good defensively but the MUST do better at the plate if the Royals are really going to make a push this season. They just aren't doing enough with the bat.
