Truth be told Carr isn't worth 50 million and the defense in dallas isn't that great. The chiefs are the best in the league.

The fact is if you can improve your team by making a move you do it.

Well you are cherry picking here but to answer your question:

Rob Gronkowski and Dunlap. You could make a case for several others like Ben Tate since we don't have a back up to Jamaal Charles.

I just picked a draft that guys had a chance to establish themselves a bit. 2010 was the first and only one that I've looked at.

Gronk is the only guys you can say for sure would offer more than Flowers at this point. No way on Dunlap and a backup RB or a top 10 CB? Serious?

Flowers is a better player than Ben Tate however if Flowers were out the rest of this year the Chiefs would still have the best defense in the league.

If Jamaal Charles goes down who do we have? Ben Tate is a nice player who's only a backup because Arian Foster is one of the best backs in the league.

So tell me in 2014 how does John Dorsey make much needed improvements to the offense with limited gap space?

No one is going after Gordon. Hes pretty much untouchable at this point.

Just because YOU didn't know who Marcus Cooper was doesn't mean the rest of the league didn't. He wasn't cut because he was garbage, they cut him because they wanted him on the practice squad.
He was in a numbers game, and lost. If they had known Culliver was going down like that, he never would of been cut.

Cutting Chase is far more the likely answer.

Fine cut Chase, turn the keys over to Bray and keep Alice as the backup. Improve the offense and save some money.

I don't know if any of these guys make the team much better.

Yeah, the point was you have about a 10% chance at best of finding a comparable player. A bird in the hand and all that jazz.

Just looked at 09. It's about the same. 3-4 guys that catch your eye and McCoy is the Gronk of that class.

Even with the guys selected, I'm still not sure how much more value/impact they'd have than Flowers (sans Gronk, injury and all). It'd be nice to have another absolute monster playing ILB next to DJ but I'd rather be 3 deep at corner.
