Here is one thing about Andy Reid. He is going to take the player he wants, regardless of how much the fan base wants the other.
In KC, you could have billboards for Geno Smith. You could have Geno Smith fan clubs parading around Andy Reid's office with signs 24/7. You could have local sports radio shows conjure up Geno Smith rally songs. You could have every local beat writer put out articles about how Geno Smith is the right choice. But come draft night, if Andy Reid falls in love with another player, he's taking him. Period. For better or for worse. There were so many times where every fan and member of the local media in Philly thought the Eagles draft pick was going to for sure end up being player x, y, or z, but on draft night Reid will come out and surprise everyone with a player that no one expected. So, what does that mean for your draft? Root for whatever player you want, but just make sure you are mentally prepared for the totally unexpected just in case. Reid is always good for one major curveball on draft day.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but this article smells of a trade down attempt. Is there a team in the top 10 of the draft in dire need of a LT?

How many times do we have to pass on a QB, draft some other slap dick, then watch that QB go on to be succesful before the fans say "you know what, why don't we ever take a chance"?
For as shitty of QB situations as we've sat thru, we are pretty ****ing picky about who we wanna draft. |

You make that pick you flush 1/4th of season tickets down the drain.
1/2 the fanbase leaves immediately...

I agree.
It's like I said in the other thread...We let Albert walk and draft Joeckel. How many more wins do we have? Albert vs Joeckel? Say. The next 3 seasons, per season how many more wins just because of switching OT's.

Or you recognize this is draft that is mediocre at QB and you take the BPA, who IMO is Damontre Moore, and either draft a guy who is in the same ball park as the first round prospects in round 2 or wait until next year to target a guy and draft him.

Guys like Cassel would still get sacked 35 times behind that great line. You can put five cardboard cutouts of Meatloaf in front of Brady and he'll get rid of the ball on time.

In terms of surplus value, the 10th best quarterback in the league gives you more points and wins compared to the 20th best QB than the best OT would from the 50th.
