So there have been whispers that he's had his own issues within the program. The latest being Spradling's apparent interest in moving out of the program if HCFM stays. He's had numerous transfers, suspensions, etc....more than any school I can recall. Anybody have insight?

If I'm KSU, I go after Steve Alford. 434-229 overall record with 9 NCAA tourney appearances and 7 NIT appearances. He gets paid $1.1 million now at New Mexico and KSU can pay him a lot more than that.

Other options would be like Tim Jankovich or Scott Sutton imo.

First, sorry about the loss, Cats fans. Martin was a damn good coach and seems like a damn good person, too. Big loss for the entire KSU community.

I did, however, find it slightly ironic that he's going to the SEC after abusing A&M and Mizzou on 810. KK asked him, "So it sounds like the whiners are leaving?!?"

And Martin was absolutely in agreement...until he left.

Sometimes, situations become untenable, and there is little logical choice but to leave. Right, Frank? Oh, and KSU might as well save time and fire the AD right now, too. Start entirely fresh because that dumb SOB just essentially ended his tenure today.
