You don't think at risk kids should emulate a well spoken nfl player with a Stanford education? A player who writes for cnnsi and who can joke around and be self deprecating interviewing fans?

A player who doesn't have off field problems. A guy who stepped up and saved the game for his team?

Seems like they could do much worse.

It's not just Sherman, our entire culture is now all about voicing our opinions as loudly as possible. Keeping your private thoughts private left when people started tweeting their dinners and bowel movements.

Would I have been proud that my son was an elite player in the NFL, sure. Would it have stopped me from pulling on his ear and nagging him about being a BETTER role model? Not in the slightest.

Just do away with the interviews, don't have the cameras show all the reeruned celebrations / scripted dances for routine plays etc.
