It streams internet video to your TV. Lots of channels, some free and some charge. Lots of esoteric free content.

Get a roku box, netflix, and Hulu and you really could get rid of cable/satellite.

I'd recommend a Sony Blu Ray before a Roku or any other box. At least you'll have a Blu Ray players. Oh, and I disagree with your assumption. I'll never get rid of Direct TV and all of its channels. AT&T, Time Warner, Cox and the internet aren't even a close second. More like 1,041. |

a blue ray player one old video game system a Roku a VCR The piece of furniture holding all of this marvelous technology is against a side wall of our living room. If you've stopped laughing long enough to continue reading yet, we do still have a couple of movie rental places in town that carry old VHS tapes so I left the VCR hooked up. |

I work with people who can't remember how to copy and paste text when they use our work station computers. True story. They also have trouble creating desktop shortcuts.

I time shift sports, but only an hour or so. Don't want to wait a day or two for fear of being spoiled as to the result, but like FFDing through commercials and plays under review.
