Discussion: Who should we consider for our first rd pick?

It’s that time fellas! Little over 3 weeks out and it’s in our house!

I’ll put 2 options here.

1. Who do we pick if we sign a vet WR (Hopkins?) before the draft.

2 who do we pick if we don’t sign anyone else before the draft.

Who ya got?

And by the way, I never said Taylor would play RT. In fact, I've been 100% adamant that he's going to play LT.

It's not me that thinks Taylor is going to be the RT. But it is a large percentage of Chiefs fans.

If Harrison falls in the Chiefs lap and all the impact WR's are gone then hey I can see it, but trading up are being like we must go OT is ignorant.

If you have a LT on a rookie deal that Taylor contract means nothing as long as the whole line is good.

I missed this the first time around.

You openly admit there's a problem that you don't think a rookie WR can solve. If there's not a rookie WR that can rectify the issue, how in the world does the existing WR room rectify anything?

Well, they won't have a LT on a rookie deal, so there's that. They've got their LT. Get used to it.

The point is, it's not needed. There is no need to trade picks to secure a LT. If one falls to you and he's the best on your board, alright.

Apparently his strategy is to just hope Mahomes can make a band of scrubs look alright.

I want this question answered..

If you think OT is worse than WR, why would you be willing to count on Kadarious Toney and not Lucas Niang, they're the same damn guy.

So he’s not a fight through the tackles guy. He’s not a top end speed guy. He’s relying on route running correct? If so, did we not just draft Skyy Moore to do that?

Idk man. I like the value at WR in rd 2 so much more than rd 1. Rice, Downs, Mims, Palmer, etc.

Actually, Toney is a little worse. Niang has missed time due to a couple of really catastrophic injuries. Toney, on the other hand, has missed a ton of games due to nagging little injuries, notably his hamstrings.

Niang really isn't injury PRONE, he's just been injured a couple of times that resulted in extended absences. Toney's picture is in the dictionary next to "injury prone".

I'm just evening it out because I think Toney is a bit better player when they both play.

Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore. Andy said he expects big jumps fr on there in their 2nd year in the system.

They could have easily brought back Hardman or Juju at their contracts they got. It was chump change. But they didn’t.

Idk. Seems like their actions so far are showing their belief in them. We’ll see on draft day

How is it ok for one and not hte other?
So you'd rather pick a second round WR in the first (which is what we would be doing) who is NOT likely to be a massive factor first year (because rookie wideouts never are under Reid) over one of the good OT's who are probably gonna fall to us? Not for me I'll take an AT Perry or Rashee Rice in the second/third round over Jalen Hyet in the first thank you.

Then take a DL in the 1st or another BPA. They don't NEED an OT and the only reason to take a tackle at 31 is if one of the top guys literally drops all the way to 31.

If you think Toney can play everyday then you should have 0 problem relying on Lucas Niang.
