Watch out for motorcycles on the road please

Twice within a 3 mile stretch on my way home I had some blue hair pull out in front of me. Apparently a horn does me no good either... need to stop by the hardware store and pick up some ball bearings for when the horn isn't enough.

Co-worker didn’t come back to work for 4 months due to a motorcycle crash recently. He now walks with a limp at 28.

Be safe.

Most people don't notice because everyone had a phone so seeing one doesn't stand out to most people. I drive 5 blocks to work. That's it. Three weeks ago I was almost involved in 4 accidents in 5 days due to people ****ing with their phones and flat out having no idea what was going on around them.

I've never owned one and never will so seeing people ****ing with their phones drives me up a wall. I got to watch in slow motion as each one of these assholes either pulled right out in front of me, while turning, on their phone or just picked up some motion out of the corner of their eye and pulled forward during a red light. Not a one of them ever looking up while in motion.

No way in hell I'd ride a bike today. Wouldn't do it. People are too ****ing stupid full time while driving. It's way worse than drunk driving ever was. The drunk at least saw some blurry double vision of something in front of them.

Riding motorcycles is inherently dangerous. I’ve been riding motorcycles for nearly 50 years and number one priority is to minimize your risk. Things have gotten worse over the years. Distracted driving is real and overall I think the American driver doesn’t take the responsibility of driving seriously at all. I also see motorcyclists often put themselves in bad positions by operating their motorcycles recklessly.
I operate my motorcycle under the premise that I am invisible and no one sees me. My head is on a swivel and I look twice, even with green lights. I constantly cover the brakes and have a exit plan.
Anymore I ride mostly on gravel roads. I find it much more enjoyable to be away from traffic and see the rural side of America.

I have been spending a ton of time on motorcycles over the past few years. I have 6 bikes in the garage. My wife rides and we go all over the state. Just purchased an adv/tourer yesterday to ride long distance camping trips with and really rack up the miles.

I feel like if you aren't doing dumb shit, your chance of injury is really low. Yes, other people come into play, but what you are doing on your bike is the #1 factor far and away.

Ride your own ride, pay attention for dipshits, and make sure that includes yourself. And just live man. Cant be worried about this shit all the time.

Props for doing your job as a parent and giving them the best shot of survival that you can

That hasn’t been my experience around here. I was a kid just being a kid once and found out, so that mindset alone isn’t enough

The first rule of defensive driving is to assume everybody around you is a ****ing idiot and act accordingly. Cellphones are idiocy enhancers.

One day not long ago I was nearly sideswiped by two separate morons within the space of two minutes. Not sure if either/both were ****ing around with a phone, but it wouldn't surprise me. I was too busy swerving out of the way to look.

I had some humbling experiences with dirt bikes and 4 wheelers. Pretty lucky I didn't kill myself honestly.

After almost going over the handlebars on a 4 wheeler at way too fast of speed I decided that was enough for me. I haven't ridden one since.
