Bring on the youth movement. If you are going to do it, don't do it half-assed.

I’ve said it before and I guess I’ll keep saying it.

In a capped sport it’s about efficiency rather than youth or whatever other metric. It’s about production per unit payroll. Parker was a guy that fit that mold. We got a lot of production or of him especially early on and he wasn’t necessarily young.

It’s not good to have the whole damn team be 23-25. Then their contracts all come up at the same time and you’re starting the **** over. A team needs a balance of guys and for them to not get bunched up to have consistent sustainable success.

All that stems from good personnel decisions and avoiding the hard busts both with draft equity and free agent payroll.

But yeah. A full on fire everybody youth movement isn’t as productive as you’d think. Good teams have middle tier free agent acquisitions that are efficient payroll dollars.

Moves like this will allow us to do just that this offseason and next.

Well, we'll have Jones ,KPass and Houston up front. we'll have Ragland, Eligewe and probably KPL at LB. We'll have Berry, Fuller and maybe Sorenson in the backfield. So hitting on 3 draft picks on Defense every year is a good way to keep supplied. Stay young and fast. Bring in two DL in FA and we have to draft that damn punter from Texas with our 3rd.

Offense we just need a LG and a QB behind Mahomes and we're good there.

That list of names is hard to get excited about. Jones and Berry will be coming off injuries, and Elegwe and Kpass barely saw the field last season. Sorenson is no better than a 3rd/4th safety at best.

Veach will need to be strategic, but aggressive in Free Agency if KC plans on not taking a large step back next season. I believe the offense needs more than just a LG and a backup QB. I would add a veteran WR to the list (they were able to get away with a young WR Corp last season with a veteran QB) and a proven #2 TE along with that LG. Defense is in complete overhaul mode.
