I agree that he could be cut, but according to spotrac.com that $887,500 is guaranteed, so it would be dead money.

The Chiefs currently have $10,255,709 of dead money with Eric Berry and Cameron Erving making up most of that.
If it comes down to keeping the better younger OL rather than Mike Remmers, I'm sure Chiefs swallow the dead money, but it is something that the Chiefs have to consider.
