In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

How do you know they flew home that night without the league's blessing? How do you know if the league gave them the option of playing Wednesday night?

The league is a business that cares about public relations and image. It would not have been a good look to mandate that the Bills turn around and get back to Cincy the next day.

The league wants to make a decision that makes the league look the best in the public image.

Lawsuits? Good luck with that. The NFL introduced known contingencies during covid to allow the playoffs to be pushed back a week if games needed to be rescheduled post-week 18. Pretty sure there will be no lawsuits and the process would be a lot easier than you seem to think.

Not to mention logistics. It's one thing to postpone a game in advance. It's quite another to fill the entire stadium with fans, food, booze, etc. and then try to do the same thing a day later.

I disagree, Bengals could choose to suspend the game for obvious reasons with every expectation that the game would resume in the next day or two.

Bills flew home, making that impossible. Bills decided that was more important than playing the game. Perfectly understandable given the circumstances but that also means a forfeit of said game.

We already knew the NFL was going to **** this up.

What apparently we didn't know was NFL players are ****ing giant pansies and the media and everyone who covers for them facilitates it.

I just saw a quote from Zac Taylor saying (paraphrasing here) -"When you can see the expression on the faces on the field its different".

Sorry if I find it hard to believe life long jocks who grew up in locker rooms and spent all their time in a violent sport suddenly just became too sensitive to handle some adversity to the point they cant even bring themselves to play or God forbid travel back to Cincy.
