A Sad Story: Why Can't People Leave Harmless Animals Alone?
I read this story on the front page of the KC Star this morning. I drive by Elmwood Cemetery on Truman Road every day on my way to work. I've seen Ella the Deer on a couple of occasions. She was more or less a "pet" inside the cemetery, and didn't harm a soul. Why somebody would shoot this gentle, beautiful animal for no reason is beyond me. Why do people have to be such assholes?

As a gun owner, I would like to point out that this person, the sicko who did this, is in no way representative of the rest of us. A responsible gun owner would never discharge a firearm within the city limits, and I personally would never shoot a deer because I admire the grace and beauty of the creatures. I would only shoot a worthless animal like a cat.
