Most head coaches don't start rookies unless they are exceptional rookies and there is no better option. Right now Palko is the better prepared QB. If Gabbert played for Iowa and Iowa was a spread team, you would have been laughing at Jacksonville taking Gabbert top 10.

Of course I talk about Stanzi a lot. I have watched most of his games at Iowa and know a lot about him on and off the field. If he played elsewhere, I wouldnt know as much about him and would be quiet when these debates go on.

Like I am in the case of most quarterback discussions, I try to only talk about what I know.

This is what we've become. We're debating the merits of a fifth round rookie, who is a statue in the pocket that will get destroyed behind this o-line, being our savior at QB going forward. This guy is the next Pat Barnes, but this fanbase is so hungry for a real quarterback that we will polish up any turd that comes down the pipe.
