Alex played the game of his life and he was BETRAYED by the defense

Alex Smith dropped 44 points on the Colts and somehow still lost. Alex is a hero. 44 points can win you a SUPERBOWL. What happened to the best defense in the league? They sure weren't out there tonight. You could cut all of them and it wouldn't matter. What matters is having Alex.

Why would any of those teams do that? Bridgewater is gonna be cheap for the next 4 to 5 years. Alex is gonna cost them 15 to 18m a year.

id love to see what level Alex Smith could reach if he had the talent around him that Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, constantly has around him before I ever put a cap on how good Alex Smith can be.

As big of a fan as I am, I try to keep my expectations in order.

That's unfair. For all of Alex Smiths perceived faults. He has always deflected praise, and accepted blame. That's just who he is.

Of course he will tell you he should of made a better throw. He has NEVER thrown anyone under the bus. Nor, taken the credit for anything.

Remember his interview after the Eagles game?

Gray didn't slow up Smith just missed him. Smith had 0 Reps with Gray all year.
