Alex played the game of his life and he was BETRAYED by the defense

Alex Smith dropped 44 points on the Colts and somehow still lost. Alex is a hero. 44 points can win you a SUPERBOWL. What happened to the best defense in the league? They sure weren't out there tonight. You could cut all of them and it wouldn't matter. What matters is having Alex.

No, it wasn't.

It's not a team loss when you score 44 points. It's you, spreading blame to people on this team that don't deserve it. This loss is 100% on the defense and their inability to hold a 28 point lead.

So was 2003 a team loss too or did you like Trent Green and refuse to blame him?

My ideal situation would be for Smith to QB the team for the next two years, with some TBD n00b challenging to be the franchise QB in year three. Said n00b should be added to the roster either this off-season or next.

I'm all in for extending his contract. We have immediate needs that should have a higher priority other than Alex.

Getting tired of everyone trying to put blame on 1 side or the other.

This absolutely was a team loss.

Both the offense and defense were playing great for the first 32 or so minutes.

The defense created 4 turnovers. The offense took advantage and scored 2 touchdowns on drives that needed less than 20 yards.

In the 2nd half the defense shit itself and the offense stopped moving the ball. After a 2nd INT from Abdullah the offense managed a 4 yard drive to kick a field goal.

You don't lose a ****ing 28 point lead in less than a half because of 1 side of the ball.
