I know he was a FA, but I bet the Saints regret taking a risk signing Brees...

Teams need a QB. You can't always draft one you like.

OK... Tell me whats wrong with him except being a little short?
He is smart as hell He can make all the throws He is confident in the pocket... Raiders have a team full of marginal WR's and TE's #2's at best and #3s on most good teams... It's all about to change, with a full slate of picks and plenty money to spend, the Raiders are over the hump and will be a helluva lot better soon... Laugh and giggle all you want but this game is about money and the Raiders have it now. |

Kaepernick is, at this point in his career, a running QB with a strong. In their respective SBs, when they needed to make plays with their arms, Wilson delivered, Kaepernick didn't. The same can be said in their matchup against each other in the NFC Championship this year. I am not suggesting that "statues" win, though you could argue that a statue won last year against a running QB with an arm. I am telling you that SBs are won by QBs that make plays with their arms, and their heads. That, in no way, despite the cannon, describes Vick.

Brett Favre and Matt Hasselbeck. This isn't about signing/trading for veteran QBs. This is about putting your team in the hands of unproven backup QBs that other teams try to scam off with the hopes of coming out at the end with extra draft picks in their pockets. It's not a very good strategy. It's not productive. At all. You may as well sign a stopgap and then draft a midrounder if there aren't any appealing options. It has the same exact chance of paying out, and at least then you're not helping out douchebag teams like the Patriots and Redskins who so ****ing OBVIOUSLY made those QB picks so they could trade them away later. |
