No actually Miami's athletic department has never been better, in terms of finances. They just opened a new football/training facility and money is starting to come in significantly from former players (Alonzo Highsmith has started a campaign to raise $25 million for additional upgrades to the football practice facilities).

The problem the past 10 years has been bad coaching… Randy Shannon and now Al Golden.

When Al Golden is fired and Butch Davis returns, Miami will come back.

It's been solid. I didn't like the no-call horse collar tackle on the "safety or not" play. I thought we should have at least got a look at that Devin Smith catch because it was close. Looked like he was still in bounds when the ball crossed the plane, but whether or not the ball was inside the pylon was the question.

It is surprisingly good for a Pac 12 crew. There hasn't been anything yet to make you question whether the refs actually know the rule book or not.

VT hasn't been VT of the early 2000s for about 5 years now. They don't want it to turn into a Penn State and Joe Paterno situation.
