What's most criminal about the old system and the new is... Much as people bitch about Ohio state, Mississippi state may have been the 4 seed if they didn't lose to ole miss. And nobody would have even batted an eye. All because of a dumb eyeball test of conference strength . I hope this year's controversy takes away the bullshit rule that not conference champions can get into the playoffs.

Hell, even if tcu beats Baylor in a conference championship, after the way osu played today, imagine denying them a spot.

This National Championship game will be the best since the USC-Texas game… which was not so coincidentally the last championship game without an SEC team involved.

Also an interesting fact… the first NCAA men's basketball championship was in 1939 between Oregon and Ohio State (Oregon won).

**** that!!! These guys made their mistakes, but making more poor choices in the coaching buffet line for them, over Fat-Andy, would be as difficult as them beating Andy in a real buffet line! Both these teams had WRs, it's obvious that Fat-Andy got a big jump on fail by having none all year!

Since there were disses of FSU players not shaking hands of the Oregon players, which I agree was classless, it apparently is not limited to FSU or just Jameis acting immature.
Adding insult to a blowout loss...#Oregon giving Jameis a shoutout with the "no means no" tomahawk chop chant. Video in link. It was done outside of camera range but someone caught it.

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) -- Several Oregon players are facing team discipline after celebrating their Rose Bowl win Thursday night by mocking Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston and allegations of sexual assault that have followed the 2013 Heisman Trophy winner the past two years.

This is what you call a witch hunt.

I doubt that's the extent of it.

**** Oregon!
This was a case of pure cheating. While most ncaa violations are due to their own players getting paid by boosters and alumni, Oregon used their own money to get a recruiting advantage. It is absolutely nuts that Oregon got a slap on the wrist.

You literally have to kill someone to get anything more than a slap on the wrist. Too much money involved to take teams off of TV or cripple their chance for a NC.

Osu sanctions were over tattoos and players getting paid a few hundred dollars extra for their summer jobs. I don't think the osu punishment was wrong but in hindsight, it doesn't make sense why they got hammered for it while others do not.

It's why the ncaa has to get rid of these stupid rules. If you can't enforce them consistently, don't have rules at all.
