He is guaranteed nothing beyond that. However, if he's on the Hawks on the 5th day of the new league year in 2016, he is guaranteed another $12.5M.

I didn't even look at the words written until Hootie pointed out that Wilson isn't under contract this year apparently... They crossed out this year on his last contract and (which the salary changed) then said he signed a 4 year contract that runs through 2019 which is 5 seasons from now.

He hits free agency a year earlier than my suggested extension. So unless you think Russell will be out of the NFL after 2019 then yes, that $20M is meaningless. He'll get a new extension with Seattle after 2017. It'll be massive. This is nothing more than a 3 year deal most likely.
