i hope Berry is just pulling a Tony Gonzalez and avoiding training camp.

But Berry is giving all the other young safeties a chance to steal his job.


How good does a cheap young player have to be to take the job of a guy squeezing the team for 12 million?

Tamba is under contract. He had surgery but by all reports has been at OTA's, minicamp and training camp and he's been actively helping the young guys.

Berry is not signed and has been invisible.

That's absolutely something worth holding against a player. It's no different than when Deion Sanders talked about making a 'business decision' when it came to open-field tackling.

He's making decisions now that are active detriments to his current employer so that he can make more money with a future employer. I'll absolutely fault him for that.

Berry needs to sign after the 2nd preseason game and it'll all be good with me. I'd hate to see him wait till after the last preseason game to sign and then get injured week 1. Of course we'd hate to see him injured in any scenario. Come in and practice for two weeks, play a series in the last preseason game and then kick ass.
