Game ball Berry, but....

Alex Smith went vertical today and he was nails minus the overthrown pass. He looked damn good today.

It'll be interesting to see how well he produces over the next several weeks. I haven't noticed any decline in his ability but perhaps you're right. His style of play doesn't lend itself to a lengthy career.

FYP. The oline is not giving him much to work with and that's concerning.

Alex missing Ware made me have nightmares from the playoff game again. Those are clutch plays he needs to make or it will hurt us down the road. Overall though I will sign up for this Alex Smith. Watching the Maclin videos posted from last year made me realize how much better Alex was playing last year. Yes it was Atlanta, and man their defense was horrible against the pass, but it was a good sign today.

Smith was very good in this game. He had two bad missed throws but was otherwise putting our receivers in good position with his passing.

I don't think there's any doubt the offense as a whole misses Maclin and Charles, though.

He used Kelce like he should have. Calling Hill's number some more would have been smart. Maybe he's figuring out big wins is going to require risking balls downfield.

I was hard on Alex because of that 1 throw, but he played very well.

The completion to Wilson to end the game was nails.

Our run blocking is ****ing terrible. We may as well come to terms that the short passing game is KC's running game. I hate it, but Reid is gonna Reid.

This is one of the dumbest posts ever. Look, I'm not an Alex apologist. The way he had been playing I was ready to move on. But he had a very good game today. For you to suggest that his play, his adjustments at the LOS, early long completion to Kelce, etc. in no way won this game is just absolutely ignorant.

I just don't understand why people can't look past their Alex Smith hatred or look past their Alex Smith fanhood to have a realistic and honest view of his play. Both sides of the Alex debate are idiots.

I want to get a gif of that play. It really looked to me like Ware ran...slowed down and then tried to run again during that play. Threw the timing of the pass off. Could be wrong though.

Fellas, D's are stacking the box because they don't respect our passing game, hence why Kelce and Hill have had significant games lately. Look for D's to soften up somewhat on the run to account for Kelce and Hill and then watch Ware return to form.

Raiders D in Arrowhead this Thursday night(although I hate Thurs games) will be experience a Chiefs offense they have never experienced before IMHO.

Maybe so. I wouldn't doubt it because it'd be incredibly hard to run full-speed down the sideline with your QB drifting so far toward said sideline himself.

Either way it really shouldn't matter. Ware had his man beat by several steps and there was hardly another defender even within the screenshot. On 3rd down in such a high pressure situation, just lob that ****er up. The completion and 1st down are FAR more important than a long TD play at that point. Just get the sure thing if need be.

It looked almost exactly like the Indy playoff miss to Gray. People blamed Gray for slowing down then too.
