Ok, so realistic? The OP is a pipe dream. Bridgewater wont sign to be the #2, and building a roster with a bunch of high priced free agents rarely works.

I'd go the Dick Vermiel route. He brought in Willie Roaf first thing. Then shored up the offensive line, grabbed then the amazing back, and traded for the QB. Well, we've got the QB (Mahomes), and the solid back and TE. So, I'd trade smith for a 3rd, dump a bunch of old dudes as the OP mentioned, selectively seek out a couple of free agent fatties, then hire an aggresive defensive coordinator that runs a more attacking style D. This team is too far from being a SB contender if you ask me, to do anything other than start rebuilding the trenches. Got to win there first. So, I'd draft and sign good fatties on both sides of the ball in the off season, and then start going after other parts the following off season. That'd be Mahomes third season, and if he'd gonna be good, then the chiefs would be a contender.

The offensive line isn't changing much next year. You may see a new LG....but I'm pretty sure that Ehinger would fill that spot.

This. People need to get over the OL thing. This is the OL for the next 2 seasons at least. I'm not sold that they're even the issue.

They have their bugs but they aren't bad by any means. No one was complaining about them in the beginning of the year when Smith had his nuts out. Now he reacts to phantom pressure and all of a sudden it's the offensive line's fault. Mahomes will have a decent offensive line next year. They really only need to find a swing tackle and some decent depth if Fulton leaves in FA.

Eh, if they have a shot at making an upgrade at LG in the draft I would do it.

Ehringer apparently has super aids, so he wouldn't be in my plans.
