I cannot fathom how a team that was near the bottom of the league statistically in almost every defensive category except for PPG can accept status quo. If Shurmur goes to NY, I think he will keep Spags as his DC.

The wildcard for KC if in fact there is a shred of hope they make a move at DC lies with Bettcher. 3-4 guy who has had a lot of recent success in Arizona with a solid roster. If Wilks gets the HC gig in Arizona, he will bring in the 4-3 and likely his own staff.

I think it is Bettcher or Spags if a move exists for the Chiefs. Some are talking Adam Zimmer but I think he is a stretch - no coordinating/playcalling experience.

Unless Gibbs was promoted to co-coordinator. You could then slide Valai to assistant LBs coach.
