@AdamSchefter: Marcus Peters to LA Rams trade is now officially agreed to, per source; cannot be processed until March 14. But Peters expected to be a Ram.

So we have our QB in Mahomes and now we have four picks out of the first 86 picks in the draft. We have a legitimate need at CB now, but we should be able to fill some homes with the picks 23, 54, 78, 86, and 118.

It’s weird how NFL execs who have experience with Marcus Peters seem to all agree they want him nowhere near their team.

That is the Cleveland Browns approach... trade away established talent for the siren call of draft picks.
Except the Chiefs draft Tyreek Hill’s, Chris Jones, Marcus Peters, Kareem Hunt’s and Travis Kelce’s and not Johnny Football’s, DeShon Kizer’s and Brandon Weeden’s.

I suppose in your fantasy land where Alex Smith is a "franchise QB", trading away a 25 year old Pro Bowl shutdown CB is a smart move.

If that is the case, that he wasn't going to resign anyway - then good deal I guess. I personally believe that there is more to it than that, but doesn't matter now.

The old man Sutton is happy that he is gone - no more ass chewing on the side lines by Peters....

Still though....they trade Peters and let SUTTON stay!?!?! That one is STILL a head scratcher...

After the no socks game. That's why he was suspended
I took shit after the Texans game for saying that they needed to reign him back in and that he looked the part of someone who was working towards a meltdown. Go look at the thread - I suggested they get the guy professional ****ing help because if that's how he behaves after a win, what happens if they lose a few? I said that if they let him blast away at Sutton, he'd simply start looking for bigger game and Reid/teammates would be next. Of course this happened - when you let a guy's behavior continue to go unchecked, he's not going to get better; he'll get worse.

The fact that they waited until AFTER all that to suspend him is an indictment on the team. They needed to put a hand on the tiller way before they did.

The Chiefs also draft busts like Dee Ford... who was drafted with the 23rd overall pick in the draft... i.e. the same draft pick (23rd overall) the Chiefs are rumored to be getting back in return from the Rams.
