Kid injured from car surfing - parent was driver!

These stories hit close to home. Last summer friends of ours were vacationing and their recently graduated high school son was holding on to a friends car while he was on a skateboard. From what I hear they were just going from one house to another that was 3-4 houses away. Going slow...kid fell off the board and hit his head just right (no helmet) and has had the "thousand yard stare" ever since. He is friends with my son and I coached soccer and baseball teams with him on my team since they were toddlers. Good kid, tragic stupid stunt gone wrong.

Good ideas go bad fast.

In Junior high i was riding a bike home to our farm at night, and someone let me grab onto the passenger door to hitch a ride up a hill and it was great, until the banked curve at the top of the hill where the bike dropped out from under me and under the rear tire where my ankles were driven over. One was hurt pretty bad the other just bruised.

My friends and I used to hood surf in HS. Terribly stupid and lucky no one died.
