Unlike so many people that have posted about the draft this year, it wouldn't bother me a bit if the Chiefs choose offensive players with four of their five draft picks.

At the end of the day, how could anyone really argue with the Chiefs drafting a center, guard, WR, RB and either a LB or CB, for reasons already explained in this thread?

I’m with Mecks post above yours, sure I have my own little wish list... but who the hell am I?

If the braintrust wants to load up on offense, by all means go for it... other holes can be addressed in free agency

My trust in our mgmt team is implicit

I’ve learned over the years that having my list of must draft players is only going to lead to disappointment. Just accept what they’re going to do and hope it works out. So far Speaks is the only **** up that was taken high.

The Rona I fear won't be kind to Speaks. I am not giving up yet but the motivation to work out on his own may not be his strong suit.

If playing for the defending champs doesn’t motivate him, nothing will... got my fingers crossed, hoping for the best

I definitely like his chances in Spags system if he’s willing to try

I still think Speaks will workout well for us in the end.

If he can just become a rotational 6-8 sack DL, then it becomes a decent pick.

Not a great move, but he was still drafted 46 overall. Plenty of guys in that range achieve far less.

There's really no position aside from K/P and QB that the Chiefs could draft that would be worthy of a complaint.

You can justify any position and be correct because when you return 20/22 starters from a SB winning team, any addition is essentially a luxury.

It makes sense for a number of reasons. While its easy to point out perceived needs, future proofing the team is as important as anything. This team may be the most intact Super Bowl winner I can remember, so they have the luxury to literally have the freedom to take just about anybody they want, vs filling holes.

So if they can get a guy to be a returner as he learns the route tree to be an eventual replacement for a guy like Sammy, that's a pretty seamless transition in a year or so.

I will say I would like to see them get Ruiz, I think he makes a lot of sense.
