On paper, this should be a shoot-out, close game, and I would expect KC to pull it out with some Mahomes magic.

Something though...something tells me that's not what's going to go down.

Buffalo has been feasting on bullshit dregs of the league and got beat by the only decent team they've played (and Pittsburgh is only kind of decent.)

It was about this time in '19 when the defense showed up. We're getting some guys back...

Something in my gut tells me it's a statement game, a pride game, and The Chiefs win in dominant fashion.

I've never seen Allen throw with the accuracy Hurts was displaying in that game.

The Bills trolls insisted they were better than KC last year because they were running up the score on teams that had quit and we weren't.

They found out real quick what happens when you step into the ring with a team that wants to fight.

They got their ass knocked out.

Yeah, you should maybe check again...

Average starting field position (yards to the end zone) on scoring drives:
vs Steelers: 63.25 on 9 total possessions
vs Dolphins: 55.2 on 12 possesssions
vs WFT: 45! on 10 possessions
vs Texans: 56 on 11 possessions

In their wins, they've had to drive more than 60 yards 7 times (and one of those is 62), while having only 60 yards to the end zone 13 times (and the closest to my arbitrary 60 is 53). And they're averaging 33.5 points/game on 42 possessions.

Compare that to the Chiefs starting field position/yards to the end zone on scoring drives:
71.8, 8 possessions
77, 10
75.75, 9
75, 7

They've had 1 scoring drive under 60 yards all season. They're also averaging 33.5 points per game, on 34 possessions.

Do you now see how playing backup quarterbacks and in turn benefiting from turnovers helped the Bills the past few weeks, versus when they had to drive for scores against the Steelers? After all, 3 of the 10 scoring drives from 60+ yards out all seasons were against the Steelers and that's their only loss on the season, and they had the fewest possessions of the season that game.

And on the flip side, the Chiefs' defense hasn't done the offense many favors at all, but they're scoring is far more efficient and dangerous than having to drive from midfield.

If you get the Bills where you live (I don't), I would think all of this great field position would really stick out.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Chiefs fan since 1985! The Bill's are a garbage team, having feasted on garbage teams all season long. They have yet to be really tested this season (yes they lost week 1 but that was to a shitty Steelers team) so Sunday promises to be a real eye opener for them. I see the Chiefs going up early and scoring often. KC wins 45-13. Go Chiefs!!
PS: Allen couldn't hit the broad side of a Arrowhead Stadium from 10 yards away!

This is where I’m at. And I know the narrative around the defense is they are worst than ever, worst in the league, etc. Now I don’t know I think they are average yet but I don’t think they are as bad as perception suggests. The first two games were against teams who run on everyone so of course they ran on us who are just not built to stop the run and really haven’t been. Despite that we had both games won and lost due to a terrible fumble and giving up a broken coverage play pass TD.

The defense was plenty fine against the Chargers and if the offense had even half the turnovers we probably win by 10. The Eagles made some plays but with the game in question got 23 points. Not great but plenty good enough for that game.

I don’t expect to hold them under 20 but I do expect to hold them under 30 and think they get something like 23 points which will win this game for us probably by two scores. I definitely don’t see them having their way with the defense.

We ARE going to beat their asses and most of their fans know it too. Just took a quick peak over at twobillsdrive and 95% of posters are giving the bills a punchers chance to win IF EVERYTHING goes right for them. The ONLY chance they have to possibly keep the game competitive is to run the ball and keep it out of that tool Allen's hands to minimize his dumb mistakes. Their offensive coordinator is too arrogant to do that and we all know it... We Have Mahomes, Hill, and Kelce. We can play at 75% efficiency and still roll these bums. Be confident guys. We're going to curb stomp these pretenders and losers!!

The defense is a problem. They made Jalen Hurts look like Montana or Brady. Buffalo has a better offense than Philly. Would think this game is going to be pretty close if both offenses play up to their potential.

Depends if the DL decides to show up or not.

Chiefs usually play well at home primetime so with that in mind, and not having any faith in the defense + a likely Mahomes costly turnover...

Chiefs still sneak away with the W 33-27.

I think the key question for the Chiefs is how much better the defense gets IF Ward and Fenton and Gay and Clark are back.

You look at the Eagles game, and Seth Kaysor did a nice job breaking this down, and the Chiefs had communication breakdowns left and right in the secondary. How much of that is on having guys on the field together that aren't used to playing with each other?

I don't think it's as dire as the injury-riddled D we saw in Philadelphia performed.

I also wonder how much the Bills will try to force the Chiefs out of nickel/dime/dollar sets with personnel.

If they run 11 or 4-wide personnel the whole game, the Chiefs can run nickel/dime. In fact, that's what I would do... and see if the Bills are disciplined enough to run it against light boxes. Basically, defend them the way the Chiefs are defended.

I agree with what you are saying and this post makes a lot of sense. I just don't think it really matters if we get those guys back or not. From what I'm reading there is very little chance they will all be healthy enough to play Sunday (would be lucky to get 2 of the 4 back) but It's still the Bills. Until they figure out how to play against the Chiefs, they will continue to get curb stomped. I'm 100% confident the Chiefs win this by 20+ in a laughter!

You guys have made a big deal about the Bills beating backup QB's. I can see that but last time I checked, the Quarterbacks had nothing to do with us putting up almost 120 pts in the last 3 games. And KC's defense has pretty much let every team move the ball at will. Buffalo had major red Zone issues against Houston, so that could be where the game is lost, there or Allen lets this game get into his head.*

Regardless, it should be a great game between two teams that are on top of their game. I look forward to it!
Sometimes the best defense is a good offense, sir. If the opponent can't move the ball and their defense is on the field the entire game that is a recipe for a lot of points to be scored. How many three and outs did your defense create during that 4 game stretch playing four of the worst offenses in the league? I'd venture to guess several. The Chiefs have only had ONE three and out through four games. Dont get me wrong, our defense has been horrible. However, our offense will keep your offense off the field. Lets wait and see how our defense performs under the lights on SNF when everyone and their mother has chalked them up to the worst defense in the league. I think they'll be playing with a chip on their shoulder.
