Thoughts going into the bye.

7-4. First in the AFC WEST. Easily could have been 9- 2 at this point with self inflicted wounds snatching defeat from the jaws of victory against the Ravens and Chargers.

If before those games you were told youd be down 1 point under a minute left, ball deep in Raven territory 2nd and 3, youd be all over it.

If you were told Patrick Mahomes gets the football 1st and 10 with 2:12 left in the game with LA out of timeouts, tie game, again, youd be all over it.

Instead Clyde fumbles the ball away, and Kelce stops running his route. 2 turnovers, 2 losses on 2 bad possessions.

Weve been outclassed twice getting pounded by the Bills and Titans in contests where we simply were not prepared to play.

Defense has drastically changed , and no, revisionists, it does not now invalidate criticism of Steve Spagnuolo's results early on. He was a ****ing hardheaded moron refusing to believe his shit stunk while thousands in attendance routinely vomited from the stench.

The addition of Melvin Ingram has been huge, effectively forcing Jones back inside where he is best. Bolton and Gay are looking like they could be what we all hoped for. Sneed is a stud in the secondary and for the moment at least, Mathieu's vagina has stopped bleeding.

Offensively, Creed Humphrey is the best center in the league. Rookie rg Trey Smith routinely takes souls. We have arguably the best interior line in football.

That said, Clyde needs to take a back seat to DW. His numbers say hes okay, but the eye test shows he has zero vision. He routinely plows into his line when he could cut or bounce. I havent seen vision this bad since Trent Richardson, also a wasted 1st rd pick.

The Chiefs need to commit to Pringle as the 2 and stop trying to insert Hardman, Robinson, and Gordon. Gordon is washed. Hardman is just overcome by full ignant every time he takes the field. Wrong routes, not aware the ball is coming, drops, fumbles, hyper aggressive ignant when he does make a play seemingly begging for a flag to undo his one thing he did right.

A gadget player and punt returner not trusted to field punts. To think we could have had DK Metcalf.

The Chiefs appear to be on the rise as the rest of the powers in the league are stumbling. We have a week to heal and figure out how to get our receivers to stop dropping passes, and maybe get Clyde Lasik surgery, before we put an assbeating on the visiting donks, led by Teddy Businessdecision.

If the defense that Dork Pres**** faced shows up, Teddy will be riding the pine by halftime.

This team, with this defense, can run the table if we just figure out how to stop dropping passes we get 2 hands on, and teach Clyde to look for the ****ing hole before charging blindly into the asses of his o line.

Reid needs to call Mike Leach with Mahomes and discuss how to attack the cover 2. Screens, balls to the rb out in the flat and short crossing routes.

Leach can put it in air raid terms that Mahomes should be familiar with. Hopefully, it will click.

I don't know why we don't see more of those quick hitter type of plays. They did some of them in the first quarter with Tyreek and it was pretty effective. Then started trying to go deep all the time and sure enough the offense started getting bogged down again.

I still think extended blocking can numb the hands temporarily. Sammy had the drops at times. DBs hand fighting pays off when the WR's hand can numb up. Part of the game, on to the next play,

2. We need Niang and Remmers healthy and back as options at RT. Wylie at RT makes my stomach feel weak.
I'll tell you exactly what they can do, they can put Clyde in the passing gameplan like they drafted him to be.

There's no reason at all that they can't get the ball to him in space, he demonstrated an advanced route tree at LSU and good hands. Elusive in space, and dangerous. For some reason, we've just not utilized what appeared to be his best traits.

You've got Hill clearing out two guys deep; you've got Kelce clearing out two guys in the intermediate range, WR whoever has one guy occupied, and that leaves what, a LB to try to cover Clyde short?

I fully expected that to be the plan this season and am totally flabbergasted that they haven't yet.

I've wondered if that's not been Kelce's problem this season. He's getting mugged at the LOS just about every play he's not in motion. There have been several instances where he's gone to the bench grsabbing his hand or maybe his wrist.

We’ve always dreamed about having a decent defense to match our dominant defense

Our defense has been top 5. Offense needs to and will catch up. Some thoughts….

Patrick is legit learning to use the pocket
Kielce needs a week off. He’s favored his hands a few times and I’d have to think it’s contributing to uncharacteristic drops
Ceh is what he is. On the bright side he at least looks better now
I still think josh Gordon has a chance to get going and will be a factor later in the season
Noah gray is starting to play a bigger role
Andy too often abandons the wheel routes but he’s getting better
This team uses Demarcus and mecole less and less which I think will lead to less mistakes
The britt Reid thing isn’t over but it seems like the recent settlement is a turning point to getting Andy right

Most of all, This team responds best to adversity. The optimist in me says the shitty month of football will end up being a godsend. Our players are focused again. They have a chip on their shoulder. And the sideline dancing… watch out ! I think the team for a while was so good they were becoming bored with success. That was the most fun we’ve seen this team have in years

This can NOT be said enough.

The whole reason we drafted Clyde over Johnathon Taylor and Swift was because he was the premier pass catching RB coming out that year.

We have waited and waited for that to be in the game plan and it just doesnt happen.

After the Vegas game I had dreams about what Clyde could do with a game like that, just letting him do what Darrel did in that game.

Finally, I thought, this is how we roll teams that choose to play 2 high safeties. Darrel had the game of his career and it was fun to watch but Clyde in that roll is really going to be a game changer for this team.

That would be an unstoppable offense. Which is why the REST of the NFL shit bricks when we drafted him!

IT HAS TO HAPPEN! Andy will hopefully use the bye week to realize we have been wasting this guy. He is OUR missing #2 WR. Our 2 high safety ball breaker. By the 4th quarter the long balls will be there if we are destroying the flat and middle of the field.
Even if the Defense refuses to bring the safeties down, this is how we win!

Its been a weird year for us, with all the refusal to put the best players on the field, moving our pro bowl DT to DE. Somehow getting down to our third string RT who is a guard.

BUT TO ME and a few others, THIS is the most un explainable and stubborn decision of all. The secret weapon has been here the whole time.

USE IT!

This X a thousand! My baby girl is coming to town to visit for Thanksgiving and we are both cut from the same cloth when it comes to being a Chiefs fan and watching a game. It's never safe around us when we watch a game together...ask my wife and son.

Plus it want to spend my weekend reminding my Cowboy fan son in law about last weekend.

This may be the biggest mystery on this team the last two years.

It baffles me.

I hope Kelce is relaxing on a beach. Not partying his ass off or chasing women or any of that, just on a beach relaxing. He's been moving slower this year. Yes, he's getting older, but teams have just mauled him this year and last, so go and have the most chill vacation ever in Turks and Caico's and come back ready to rape faces.

I thought Clyde looked better in the Cowboys game. Since he's been out the oline has gotten more in sync and the screen game has started to show up. I'm more than willing to see how he fits into a more functional run/screen game before dismissing him as a wasted pick.
