Let's talk about the Bengals [and Hamburger Helper]

This one is huge as far as the #1 seed goes.

Let's talk about it.

His first ever game against Mahomes with playoff implications...will he press too hard if KC gets up early?

I would think he's only played a season and a half worth of NFL games...so he's still a year away...like Herbert.

Spagnuolo runs some esoteric defenses...especially when he has you down by two scores. This is JB's first time facing it...

He had an amazing game last weekend...but the Ravens were a MASH unit. It's also a known scheme he's faced a few times...

Mahomes struggled against Belichick the first couple of meetings...

No animosity towards them...mainly because neither team has been a threat to one another. As we've seen since the arrival of Mahomes...once he beats you a few times in meaningful games, they'll start to despise him. This happens to all the great QBs...just happy I get to experience having one on the team I like in my lifetime....KC is the hated team now.

I hope you all are happy I didn't post my real thoughts on the outcomes this coming week...keeping an eye on the Raiders/Chargers match-up week 18...and what would have to take place to make that a "win and get in" scenario. That Houston game was "interesting"....
as for me, i would be delighted if you posted your real thoughts on the outcomes this coming week. preferably in a dedicated stand alone thread.

you may say i'm a dreamer, but i'm not the only one.

Right. They've got us, which is tough, and then a road division game against the Browns who smashed them earlier this year 41-16.

Ravens with Lamar must be ass then, right? Or does that narrative apply when they beat the Chiefs only.

Because they eviscerated Baltimore in Baltimore with Lamar.

Conference games are always tough (unless against the faid...we own dat ass).

The Browns have been as inconsistent as any team in this league. As long as Cincy's spirit isn't destroyed in their loss to KC this Sunday, like the Chargers (lol, Houston Texans...bwahahahaha), they have a fighter's chance of knocking off the brownies.

All comes down to turnovers. If Patrick avoids throwing pickles and footballs into the dirt it should be something like a 41-21 route. Then all the Chiefs have to do is chip block the one pro-bowler on the DLine and make Burrow hold onto the ball. Game over.

Ravens suck, Chiefs played like ass and still would have won the game if CEH didn't fumble at the end.

Is this a tradition at Paul brown like throwing dildos in Buffalo?

The current iteration of the Ravens is average to above average due to 2 position groups being completely decimated by injury (DB, RB).

Also, saying 1 play in a vacuum changes the result of a game is silly.

Those type of comparisons don’t work at all this year in the NFL. Many strange results from week to week. Bengals very capable of anything on the high end or low end, judging by their results.

I think it's another layer on the skyline chili. First you get some sketti, then your cinnamon and clove diarrhea chili, then you put on a lb of cheddar and a couple handfuls of sliced pickles.

That's fine dining in North Kentucky.

Maybe, but we didn't really start seeing teams have entire position groups impacted by COVID and games moved until the past few weeks.

Since you agree COVID was not an issue until recently, how do you explain the Bengals' poor performances against teams like the Bears and Jets? Or their 25 point blowout loss at home to the Browns? Those games happened before the COVID problems lately.

Like I said, Cincy is very capable of great things on the high end and some pretty lousy stuff on the low end. That Bears game featured an unfathomable 3 straight INT's on 3 pass attempts. One of the more bizarre things you could ever see in football.
